Dixie Talent Show
The Dixie talent show was a showcase of great performances by the students in every grade. The Advanced chorus group, accompanied by the eighth grade chorus, kicked off the night with “We’re Gonna Put On a Show.” Following the chorus presentation, twelve contestants competed for first through third place and the peoples’ choice award. As each

contestant sang, they were given a score by a panel of three judges. The scoring categories were originality, stage presence, appearance, and overall talent. After the final tally, the first place winners were a trio singing “I Swear,” Andrew LeGrand, Dwight Bozeman, and Austin Irby. Second place went to eighth grader Seth Manly playing guitar and singing “Let Her Cry.” The third place winner was Kerrigan Clamp singing “Broken Wing.” Paige Calkins received the peoples’ choice award for singing “Titanium.” Congratulations to all of the contestants for a job well done.
